Horizon Boats 420 Allrounder Specifications

One of 580 dinghies, tenders and RIBs in the BuyDinghy Australian database, scored against aluminium & polyethylene dinghies rather than the market as a whole.

Where this model fits

At 4.20 m, this model sits at the larger end of the aluminium & polyethylene dinghies. That helps define the comparison set, but storage, total package weight and local support still decide whether it belongs on a shortlist.

Its published maximum power is 40 hp; confirm the maximum engine weight and shaft length before treating that as an engine recommendation. Passenger capacity is not recorded here; ask for the current capacity plate or manufacturer documentation rather than relying on an advertisement.

Before you request a quote

• Ask the seller to identify the exact 420 Allrounder model year and included configuration in writing.
• Build a ready-to-use weight from the 188 kg published hull figure and the exact engine and equipment quoted.
• Request the complete delivered price, including unavoidable freight, preparation and registration costs.
• Confirm warranty and parts support for this exact model under Horizon Boats's current Australian arrangement.

Fit scores

Each score is Horizon Boats's editorial score for that job, scaled by how well a 4.20 m hull suits it. A superb manufacturer still makes boats that are wrong for your job — the curve is what says so. How this is calculated.
