What We Want to Record
A useful field note is not a star rating. It is a small, checkable operating record: the exact hull and engine, ready-to-use weight, normal load, storage method, setup or recovery time, primary waterway and the compromise the owner notices most.
- Measured ready-to-use weight, including engine, fuel and permanently carried equipment
- Actual setup, launch or recovery time with the normal crew
- Parent yacht, davit, trailer, roof-rack or home-storage arrangement
- Australian waterway and typical use—not a claim that the boat suits every condition
- Repairs, parts availability and the ownership lesson another buyer should know
How Contributions Will Be Used
Submissions are owner-reported evidence, not manufacturer specifications. Gabriel will review them, remove personal information and label the source type before any figure is published. A single report will never be presented as a universal product result.
Evidence before opinion
Photographs of a scale reading, written configuration lists, receipts or manuals make a field note much more useful. Do not send navigation tracks, private addresses or information you do not have permission to share.
