RS Tera Specs & Buyer Guide

Specifications

RS Tera Specifications

One of 580 dinghies, tenders and RIBs in the BuyDinghy Australian database, scored against sailing dinghies rather than the market as a whole.

Where this model fits

At 2.87 m, this model sits at the high-demand middle of the sailing dinghies. That helps define the comparison set, but storage, total package weight and local support still decide whether it belongs on a shortlist.

Maximum power is not recorded in our source data, so it should be confirmed before choosing an outboard or valuing a package. Passenger capacity is not recorded here; ask for the current capacity plate or manufacturer documentation rather than relying on an advertisement.

Before you request a quote

• Ask the seller to identify the exact RS Tera model year and included configuration in writing.
• Build a ready-to-use weight from the 39 kg published hull figure and the exact engine and equipment quoted.
• Request the complete delivered price, including unavoidable freight, preparation and registration costs.
• Confirm warranty and parts support for this exact model under RS Sailing's current Australian arrangement.

Fit scores

Each score is RS Sailing's editorial score for that job, scaled by how well a 2.87 m hull suits it. A superb manufacturer still makes boats that are wrong for your job — the curve is what says so. How this is calculated.
