Where this model fits
At 4.21 m, this model sits at the larger end of the club, rescue & commercial ribs. That helps define the comparison set, but storage, total package weight and local support still decide whether it belongs on a shortlist.
Its published maximum power is 60 hp; confirm the maximum engine weight and shaft length before treating that as an engine recommendation. The published capacity is 8 people, but real usable payload also has to include fuel, equipment and the conditions in which the boat will operate.
Before you request a quote
- Ask the seller to identify the exact Patrol 420 model year and included configuration in writing.
- Obtain a written hull weight and clarify whether the floor, console, battery or other removable equipment is included.
- Request the complete delivered price, including unavoidable freight, preparation and registration costs.
- Confirm warranty and parts support for this exact model under Highfield's current Australian arrangement.
Fit scores
Each score is Highfield's editorial score for that job, scaled by how well a 4.21 m hull suits it. A superb manufacturer still makes boats that are wrong for your job — the curve is what says so. How this is calculated.
